1. Pilots must be an AMA member and must operate their model in accordance with the "OFFICAL AMA SAFTY CODE.
 
2. Non-AMA MEMBERS are not permitted past the spectator area unless invited and accompanied by a member.
 
3. NO CHILD UNDER 10 YEARS OLD is allowed on the field without the supervision of an adult member. All other children will be restricted to the spectator area.  Also see 12.a - of the Constitution
 
4. For flight instruction only, follow AMA intro pilot rules to govern how long a non-AMA intro pilot may be allowed to use field.  

5. Local guests of club members, who are also AMA members, are granted a two (2) visit privilege to use our field. These guests must join the club if they
wish to continue to use our field. This excludes AMA members who are in the area on an extended visit.
 
6. All transmitters shall be placed on the impound table upon arrival at the field.
 
7. No transmitter may be turned on, for any reason, without having possession of the proper frequency pin.
 
8. Take-offs and landings shall be conducted from the runway area only.
 
9. All pilots will take of and land from the pilot area.
 
10. Pilots will call out or announce intentions to enter runway area, touch and go, etc,. And any intentions to land to other pilots in the pilot’s area.
 
11. Landing aircraft have the right-of-way over all other aircraft. A call for dead-stick or problem landing has priority Landing in any desired SAFE direction.
 
12. No aircraft is to be retrieved from the runway without first notifying other pilots that are flying.
Pilots engaged in flying are to be notified when the field is clear again. Pilots flying aircraft will keep aircraft clear of the runway until it is clear.
 
13. No flying over the pit, spectator area, roads or field boundaries .
 
14. One flight of approximately 15 minutes is permitted if others are waiting to use the frequency.
 
15. It is recommended that all flying be conducted below 400 feet and that a spotter be used when possible but use of a spotter is not required 
 
16. Gasoline engines require a fire extinguisher and removal of the spark plug lead or use of a dead switch when the engine is not in use.
 
17. No pilot may fly alone if he or she has not accomplished a supervised solo flight.
 
18. No alcoholic beverages are permitted at the field.
 
19. No pets are permitted on the field. Pets must be leashed and owner is responsible to clean up after there pet.
 
20. Mufflers shall be required on all two cycle and four cycle engines over 0.049 cubic inches.
 
21. The last member present at the field is responsible for closing and padlocking the frequency board, 
Tool box, and gate.
 
 
In general it is in everyone's best interest to conduct your flying, in a safe,
Courteous, and sportsman-like manner
 
 
 
 
 
                                CLUB CONSTITUTION
 
1. The name of the club hereafter known as ROCKRIVER AERO MODELING SOCIETY Inc.
 
2. The purpose of the club is to further the interest of its members in the art Model Aviation 
 
3. Elections for the office of President, Vice President and Secretary-Treasurer are to be held each year at the November meeting for election of officers.
If a quorum is not present the election will be held at the next monthly meeting that a quorum is present.
 
3.a - VOTING PURPOSES
 
A quorum shall be defined as 20% of the current membership.
  
4. Duties of the elected officers
 
PRESIDENT: The president shall be responsible for the overall operation of the club and shall conduct the monthly meeting in accordance with Roberts Rules of Order.
 
VICE PRESIDENT: The vice-president shall assist the the president and conduct the monthly meeting in the president's absence.
 
SECRETARY-TREASURER: The secretary-treasurer shall record the proceedings of each monthly meeting and will process any and all correspondence pertaining to club business. The secretary-treasurer shall take roll call at each meeting and maintain attendance 
Records, the club roster, and AMA club Charter. The secretary-treasurer shall collect monies due and handle all monetary matters in a business-like manner. Detailed records of receipts and expenditures will be maintained and a monthly report will be maintained
and a monthly report will be made to the membership in written form at each monthly meeting. The secretary-treasurer will establish a bank account in the name of the Rock River Aero Modeling Society, Inc . There will be two (2) authorized signatures on the account.
Signatures authorized on the checks will be that of the president or secretary-treasurer.
 
5. The meetings of the club are to be held on the first TUESDAY of each month. The May June, July, August and Sept. meetings will be held at the field site. 

6. Approval by a majority of the entire membership is required to make an amendment to the club constitution.
 
7. Potential new members will be eligible for club membership upon presentation of a current AMA license and payment of the club dues to the secretary-treasurer,
 
8. A member may be dropped from the club roster for failure to pay club dues and fees on or before the conclusion of the regular March meeting; failure to heed safety rules set forth; consistently not attending meetings except for extenuating circumstances; 
or for allowing non-AMA members to fly at the club field. Any member considered for expulsion for any reason shall be voted out by secret ballot by majority of the entire membership and will be notified by letter of the imposition of his or her inactive status.
 
9. No monies or club property will be refunded upon notice of inactive club status, voluntary termination or resignation of club membership, except in special cases.
 
10. The annual fee assessment and mandatory society membership fees are to be determined at the November meeting each year.
 
11. Anyone flying at the club field must have a valid AMA license. It will be the responsibility of each club member to obtain his own AMA license.
 
12.a) Children up to the age of 10 years must be accompanied by a Rock River Aero Modeling Society club member (adult) past the spectator area and into the pit area and 
and on the flight line for flight instruction only. After instruction they must return to the spectator area.
